Katie first went into Veterinary nursing when she left school in 2008 and qualified in 2014 as an RVN in a small, quiet practice in London. She joined our team in September 2015 where she was keen to progress her nursing skills in a hospital setting and is very much enjoying the busier days!

Katie has a strong passion for dog behaviour, especially starting puppies off on the right ‘paw’ by running our Puppy Confidence Evenings. She is also working towards becoming a ‘Fear Free Certified Professional’. Another passion of Katie's is to be the best manager to her team as she could be. This is why she has completed ILM's Level 5 Leadership and Management Award and Certificate by VMG. She hopes to one day achieve the Diploma when life is not so hectic with a demanding toddler and puppy at home! 

Katie is also one of our many Clinical Supervisor. She really enjoys training our Student Veterinary Nurses as she feels it is extremely important to start their career off well.

Katie is an IVCE Well-being champion which means she takes good care and time to look after her team and their well-being needs.

Katie has also completed her training to become a BDMLR Medic so is able to help treat the seals that we occasionally get brought into the practice.

At home, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and young Son. She has a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Willowbell, Arabian Horse called Frank and 2 Royal Pythons called Skye and Buzz!
