Doug & Richard retire

When we set up in 1993, we could only dream that AlphaPet would develop into the practice it is today.

So much has changed over the last 27 years. There have been many triumphs and challenges, but throughout this time we have never lost sight of our vision to deliver the very best veterinary care to both companion animals and wildlife.

We both turned 60 this year and we’ve given AlphaPet our all. We’ve had to make the incredibly difficult decision to step down into a less challenging and less stressful phase in our lives. It is time for us to hand over to a younger generation to take AlphaPet forward, which inevitably means bidding farewell to our colleagues, friends, clients and patients.

We have dedicated our lives to being vets, so stepping back is extremely hard, but we know it is the right thing to do. Hopefully we both still have plenty of years ahead of us and we still have much to achieve.

As we move onto the next chapters of our lives, so does AlphaPet. There will obviously be some changes, but we are both confident that we are leaving AlphaPet in the very best hands to carry on the vision and values that have driven us throughout.

Thank you all for your support over the years. We will miss you, your pets and AlphaPet immensely.
