Ivan graduated from University College Dublin in 2013. After qualifying, he undertook a year-long internship at a busy specialist hospital in Hampshire, where he developed a keen interest in surgery. After entering general practice and completing IVC's Graduate Academy, he undertook further formal surgical training to obtain a post-graduate certificate in small animal surgery. He has particular interests in reconstructive, orthopaedic and gastrointestinal surgery as well as lameness, neurology and feline medicine.
Outside work he enjoys hiking, camping, practicing Historical European Martial Arts and spending time with his cats, Auri & Tofu.
